1969 Mustang V8 Mach 1
This award-winning 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 was built in August of 1968 from Ford’s Dearborn plant. This Mach 1, affectionately called “Ruby” has been meticulously maintained and has covered only 45,000 miles from new. One of its previous owners was a classic car restorer sparring no expense to ensure she proudly represented her John Wick pedigree. Ruby sports one of the highest performance engines Ford offered in 1969, the highly-coveted 428 Cobra Jet. The 428 Cobra Jet engine (7.02 litres) screams 355 horsepower and a maximum torque of 440 lb⋅ft.
Ruby’s eye appeal is only exceeded by the purring of her motor. Ruby recently had a nut and bolt restoration in 2019, when it won multiple awards at a car show in Florida. The restoration rebuild was featured in Ford Daily magazine, where it registered over 13K likes.
The proud owner bought his first Mustang, a Wimbledon white 1968 Mustang Coupe, for a mere $600 US dollars, approximately 500 GBP. After searching the online sites in Europe and the US, he finally found his dream car in Dixson, Tennessee in early March 2020. Based on the dealer’s stellar reputation and personal knowledge of the car, the owner bought the car the following week. The car was shipped to the UK in late April and arrived in country on 12 May 2020. During its short journey to the MOT garage, it commanded the type of attention you would expect from any super car. The brilliant contrast between the candy apple-red paint job and the highly-polished chrome rims is nothing short of a head turner, waiting to make your special day just a little more special.
